Candidates must fulfill the following conditions:

  • SSC/ O-Level/ Equivalent certificate (Science) with 60% marks
  • FSc Pre-Engineering with minimum 60% overall marks (Part-1 and Part-2 combined); however, a student must also have 60% marks in each Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry for admission.
  • A-Level / Cambridge students should have an IBCC certificate equivalent to FSc Pre-Engineering with overall 60% marks and must have at least C Grade in each Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry for admission.
  • 50% marks in NAT-IE.
  • Age Limit: 22 Years

For Space Science Program: 

  • SSC/ O-Level/ Equivalent certificate (Science) with 60% marks
  • FSc Pre-Engineering/ Computer Science/ ICS students can apply for the Space Science Program.
  • FSc Pre-Engineering/ ICS with minimum 60% overall marks (Part-1 and Part-2 combined); however, a student must also have 60% marks in each Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry/ Computer for admission.
  • A-Level / Cambridge students should have an IBCC certificate equivalent to FSc Pre-Engineering with overall 60% marks and must have at least C Grade in each Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/ Computer for admission.
  • 50% marks in NAT-IE/ NAT-ICS.
  • Age Limit: 22 Years

Pre-medical Students:

Pre-medical students with additional math are eligible to apply for undergraduate programs at IST.

General Eligibility Requirement for Reserved Seats through SAT-II:

Seats are reserved for foreign students, children of Pakistani’s living abroad / dual nationality holders. International fee structure ($) will be applicable if the student is selected based on the eligibility criteria mentioned below.

Applicant must meet the following criteria:

  • SSC/ O-Level/ Equivalent certificate (Science) with 60% marks
  • FSc Pre-Engineering with minimum 60% overall marks (Part-1 and Part-2 combined); however, a student must also have 60% marks in each Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry for admission.

  • SAT-II with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics level –II with at least 550 marks in each subject.

Note:
Dual nationality/expatriate students can also apply on open merit. However, the student must fulfill all other eligibility requirements for open merit.

The IST institutional code to receive SAT scores is 7966.

The last date for SAT scores to reach IST is the same as mentioned in the admission advertisements/website. Scores received after the deadline will not be entertained.

Candidates applying on an SAT basis have to enter their SAT Subject Test scores in their application form. Those who do not enter their SAT scores will be assigned zero weightings.

The merit list for Candidates applying against the reserved seats for foreign Students (children of Pakistani living abroad/ dual nationality holders) is prepared separately. General Eligibility Requirements for Diploma Holders

Two (02) percent of the total number of seats in engineering programs are reserved for diploma holders in an engineering discipline.
A candidate seeking admission against reserved seats for the holders of Diploma of Associate Engineer, the candidate should have passed diploma examination from a Board of Technical Education in the relevant technology and must meet the following conditions:

  • Students appearing for HSSC/A-Level final exams in 2024 are eligible to apply for admission in Undergraduate Programs of IST.
  • For FSC/ICS Students: Merit will be determined based on the marks obtained in SSC/O-Level/Equivalent, FSC (Part-1) & NAT-IE/ NAT-ICS//HAT-UG-E//HAT-UG-CS.
  • For A-Level Students: Merit will be determined based on the marks obtained in SSC/O-Level/Equivalent & NAT-IE/ NAT-ICS//HAT-UG-E//HAT-UG-CS.
  • For DAE Students: Merit will be determined based on the marks obtained in SSC/O-Level/Equivalent, DAE (Aggregate Marks), and NAT-1E//HAT-UG-E.
