The feasibility studies in 2003 ultimately bore fruit and in 2004, Gulab Devi Postgraduate Medical Institute was established, and it gained affiliation with the University of Health Sciences, Lahore.

As a consequence, Diploma in Cardiology and Diploma in Tuberculosis & Chest Diseases were started for postgraduate Doctors in the 2005-2006 session. These diploma courses are presently in progress successfully. Research publications by postgraduate doctors are also in the offing and each postgraduate doctor has been allocated his field of research and specific topic allotments is under process

Eligibility Criteria

• Those candidates who have qualified their FSc with pre-Medical or equivalent subject.
• Those candidates who have secured a minimum of 55% marks in the annual examination of FSc or equivalent
• Those candidates who pass the entry test of UHS
• Those who apply within the due date.

These diploma courses are presently in progress successfully. The Department of Cardiology at Gulab Devi Hospital has been recognized for MRCP training by the Royal College of Physicians in England.
