Punjab Medical College is one of the medical colleges of the Government of Punjab. College was established in 1973-74. Spread over an area of 158 acres, the college has a beautiful campus. Allied Hospital and DHQ Hospitals are the two hospitals that are attached to the college for the clinical teachings of the students. The college has separate hostels for boys and girls. Hospitals have separate hostels for male and female doctors.

Punjab Medical College is being maintained by the Government of Punjab and is under the administrative control of the Health Department. Presently, Punjab Medical College, Allied, and DHQ Hospitals have been granted the autonomous status and are managed by the Board of Management.
Eligibility Criteria:
FSc (Pre-Medical) from any Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education or an equivalent qualification {Overseas High School Certificate/ British General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level)/ International Baccalaureate} with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, as approved by Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC). Any other combination will not be accepted.
A minimum of 60% aggregate marks each in Matric and in FSc (excluding NCC marks)/ equivalent exams. No deviation in this regard is allowed.
The age limit for MBBS and BDS students is 17 to 25 years.
Admission Requirements:
Applications on the prescribed form along with the following attested documents, duly certified by and routed through the competent authority of the respective controlling ministry/ division must reach to the undersigned not later than the last date
FSC certificate and detailed marks sheet
Domicile certificate
Hafiz e Quran certificate duly registered/ recognized
Two passport size photographs
Candidates of Punjab Domicile, Federal Capital area, AJ & K, and Northern areas applying for admission to the First Year MBBS against open merit/Reserved seats (except those nominated by Economic Affair Division, Islamabad) are required to pass the Entry Test with a minimum score of 60% otherwise they will not be eligible for admission. The Entry Test will be valid for the same session only.
