SIPGA Projects

Research areas are available under SIPGA into four categories.

  • Biomedical Sciences (BMS)
  • Physical Sciences (PS)
  • Computing and Information Sciences (CIT)
  • Engineering and Technology (E&T)

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Singapore International Pre-Graduate Award (SIPGA), candidates must fulfil all of the following requirements:

  • Required Language: Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Eligible Countries: Open to students from all countries around the world.
  • Academic Level: Open to international 3rd and 4th-year undergraduate and master’s students enrolled in STEM courses at universities outside of Singapore.
  • Academic Performance: Applicants should have obtained or be on track to obtain at least a Second-Class (Upper) Honours or equivalent for their bachelor’s degree.
  • Enrolment Requirement: Students must remain matriculated in their home university during the attachment period.
  • Research Interest: Applicants should demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing a research career.

How to Apply?

To apply for the Singapore International Pre-Graduate Award (SIPGA), please follow the application process outlined below:

  • Step 1: Project Selection: Download the list of SIPGA projects and choose the project you wish to apply for.
  • Step 2: Prepare Supporting Documents: Gather the necessary supporting documents, including a copy of your passport, academic transcripts, and an updated resume or curriculum vitae.
  • Step 3: Submit Application: Complete the application form and submit it along with the required supporting documents. You have the option to apply for up to three (3) projects.
  • Step 4: Online Interview: If shortlisted, you will be invited for an online interview as part of the selection process.
  • Step 5: Notification: Successful applicants will be notified of their acceptance within 2 months from the date of the interview.
