Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for the Summit are as follows:
Open to All: The Summit is open to applicants from all parts of the world. There are no nationality restrictions.
Age Requirement: Applicants should be between 21 and 29 years old. If you are currently 20 years old but will turn 21 by the time of the summit, you are eligible to apply.
English Proficiency Assessment: Your English speaking skills will be assessed through an interview and a short video. This means that you should be able to communicate effectively in English to participate in the Summit.

The financial benefits provided to selected participants of the Summit include:
Round Trip Airfare: Participants will receive coverage for their round trip airfare. This means that the costs associated with travelling to and from the Summit location will be covered.
Transport within South Africa: The Summit will provide transportation within South Africa for participants. This includes transportation to and from the airport, as well as any necessary transportation during the event or related activities.
Accommodation: Selected participants will be provided with accommodation. This typically includes a place to stay for the duration of the Summit, such as hotel accommodation or designated accommodations arranged by the organizers.
Meals: Meals will also be provided to participants during the Summit. This may include breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as snacks or refreshments during breaks or networking sessions.
To apply for the Global Youth Summit South Africa (GYS 2024), please follow these three steps:
Record a Two-Minute Application Video: Prepare a two-minute video introducing yourself, sharing your background, and experiences, and explaining why you are interested in attending the Global Youth Summit. Be authentic and passionate in your presentation. Ensure that your video is clear, well-lit, and audible.
Pay the Application Fee: There is an application fee of $30. Visit the official GYS website and follow the instructions to make the payment. Keep the payment confirmation details for future reference.
Submit the Written Application Form: Complete the written application form provided on the GYS website. Provide all the required information, including personal details, contact information, and responses to any specific questions or prompts mentioned in the form.
