Punjab Mass transit Authority PMA is a newly established department in Punjab, you can also call it the Punjab Metro bus Authority that has the main objective purpose to provide a safe, well-organized, and comfortable urban transportation system in the major cities of Punjab.
The Government of Punjab has established Punjab Metrobus Authority (PMA) for constructing new roads, bypasses, new flyovers for the newly launched metro bus system, operation, and maintenance of mass transit system OR Metro Bus system.
Lahore is the second-largest city in Pakistan with an estimated population of 10 million. The transport demand recently estimated by the Japanese International Co-operation Agency (JICA) is 12 million trips, which includes 4 million short walking trips and 8 million motorized trips, on a usual weekday.
