GAT tests are to be conducted shortly by the National Testing Service NTS. GAT tests are organized for the academic evaluation of the graduates before allowing admission in MS and M.Phil. A graduate has at most 3 chances to pass the GAT test. GAT is the short form of “Graduate Assessment Test”.
It is a GRE Type test, so the passing result of GAT expires after 2 years, so the student has to take admission in MS within 2 years after passing the GAT test. NTS is conducting GAT SUBJECT and GAT GENERAL in January.
Eligibility criteria for GAT SUBJECT are that the candidate must have a minimum education of 16 years. Candidates with fewer qualifications will not be entertained. Candidates who want to improve in their previous GAT test are also eligible for appearing in the test. Eligibility criteria for GAT GENERAL are the same as that of GAT SUBJECT (i.e. the candidate must have a minimum education of 16 years).

The application form is to be filled online. First, make an account and then fill the form. Use capital letters to fill the form. Deposit slips must reach the NTS office before the last date of form submission. The fee for GAT SUBJECT is Rupees 1500 and Rupees 1000 for GAT GENERAL.
