i) Candidates, who have passed Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) (Pre-Engineering) with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks excluding the marks of Hifz-ul-Quran. OR Any other equivalent qualification recognized by the University (minimum 60% aggregate marks excluding the marks of Hifz-ul-Quran). ii) Only those Candidates, who have passed the qualifying examination as mentioned above in Annual Examination 2024 or prior up to Annual examination 2024 are eligible to apply for admission. iii) Candidates, who have passed Diploma of Associate Engineer in the relevant field Technology (Chemical / Glass & Fibre Ceramics Technology) from S.B.T.E. and having domicile of former Sukkur and Larkana Divisions and District Shaheed Benazir Abad (Nawabshah) can also apply against reserved seats in relevant fields minimum 60% aggregate marks excluding the marks of Hifz-ul-Quran. iv) Candidates who have passed Diploma of Associate Engineer in the relevant technology from Technical Boards other than Sindh Province can also apply only against reserved seats on Self-finance Scheme.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE BS(CS)

DEGREE COURSES

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY / QUALIFICATIONS

3. DISCIPLINES AT QUEST, nawabshah i. Information Technology (IT) ii. Mathematics iii. Computer Science, (CS) ( This course is offered in the afternoon session)

i) Candidates, who have passed HSC (Pre-Engineering, General Science with Mathematics and Pre-Medical) with minimum 60% aggregate marks excluding the marks of Hifz-ul-Quran. ii) Candidates having passed HSC (Pre-Engineering, General Science with Mathematics) with minimum 60% aggregate marks excluding the marks of Hifz-ul-Quran. OR Any other equivalent qualification recognized by the University minimum 60% aggregate marks excluding the marks of Hifz-ul-Quran. iii) Candidates, who have passed the qualifying examination as mentioned above in Annual Examination 2024 or prior up to Annual Examination 2024 are only eligible to apply for admission.

NOTE:

(i) Candidates who have passed SSC-II Annual examination before 2011 are not eligible for admission.

(ii) Candidates who have appeared in the HSC-II Annual Examination, 2024 and are waiting for the results are also eligible to apply for admission under both schemes. They will have to attach the appearance/hope certificate from the Principal of the concerned College showing seat number of the HSC Part-II examination and HSC-I mark certificate with the admission form.

Also, they will have to send the Mark certificate of HSC Part-II showing 60% marks and above within a week’s time after the announcement of the result by their concerned Board to the Chairman Admission Committee, QUEST, Nawabshah.

The candidate shall have to mention on the back of the certificate the application form number, the category under which he/she has applied for admission, and the district of the domicile. Only those candidates will be issued admit cards to appear in the pre-admission test who have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. (Grace marks given by the Board for improvement of Grade shall not be counted).

PRE-ADMISSION TEST

All eligible candidates who are desirous of seeking admission to any of the B.E. / BS Programme at Quaid-e-Awam University / Constituent Engineering College Larkana will be required to appear in an MCQ type (written) pre-admission test and obtain a minimum score of + 40 percent marks.  Model paper of such test and other relevant information is incorporated in the Prospectus.
