The Danish Schools Admission and Scholarship (DSAS) is a national initiative to provide opportunities for talented and deserving Pakistani students to pursue their studies in the most prestigious institutions of the world. The DSAS will provide full financial assistance to selected students for their studies at the world’s leading universities. The admissions process for the 2024 academic year is now open, and scholarships are available for eligible students. The Daanish Schools have a long-standing reputation for excellence, and their graduates go on to successful careers in a variety of fields. The Danish Schools offer fully-funded scholarships for needy students for classes 6 to intermediate, making them an excellent choice for students seeking a top-notch education and an opportunity to pursue their dreams. The admissions process is based solely on merit. There are 99 seats available for needy students in each school, but only 10 percent pay fees.

Students admitted on a need basis will be given a fully funded scholarship covering all expenses, including fees, hostel, and other expenses. The deadline for submitting admission applications is December 25, 2024.

Scholarships Have Many Benefits

DSAS (Danish Schools Admissions and Scholarships) is a new initiative launched by the Danish government to provide high-quality education to talented and motivated students from low-income families. For up to four years of study at any Danish public university or university college, DSAS covers tuition and living expenses. A monthly stipend will also be provided to DSAS recipients to help cover books and other expenses. This program will give students the chance to pursue their studies at leading universities across Pakistan and abroad. A minimum of 60% marks in SSC or HSSC is required to enter the program.

It will cost PKR 16,500/- per month for those applying on a self-finance basis. The total combined gross income of the household must be less than fifteen thousand rupees per month (this was initially Rs.15000/), or such other amount as may be determined by the authority.

A list of Danish School Scholarship Subcategories

 Depending on their subcategory, the student is either:

  • Having lost both of his parents, he has no parent, elder sibling or extended family member to care for him

  • His mother raised him as an orphan

  • They own no immovable property, neither of them has a disability, and they are both illiterate

  • In addition to being a school dropout, his parents are both illiterate and do not own any immovable property

  • The parents are both illiterate, own no immovable property and are not employed or have any fixed income sources

  • Neither of his parents is a resident of a town, tehsil, or district headquarters, neither owns any immovable property, and neither is literate.

  • His household resides in a katcha house and he lives in a town, tehsil, or district headquarters

Students whose parents are Danish School employees may apply for admission.

A similar initiative was undertaken by the Provincial Governments after the venture was successful, and two seats were reserved as a provincial quota for boys and girls in each of the 14 campuses, with FATA (especially South and North Waziristan and Baluchistan getting two extra seats for students in Attock and Rajanpur).

Eligibility criteria

In order to be eligible for admission, a student must:

  • You must be a student in Grade V

  • Passed PEC or other Class V exams

  • Boys between the ages of 10 and 12

  • Girls should be between 10 and 13 years old

  • Must fall below the approved maximum income bracket

  • Must fall in one of the deserving categories

  • It is expected that the written test will be passed.

  • Verification of antecedents with clarity

  • The medical test must be passed

  • You must be one of the first 87 or 10students chosen based onon merit.

How to apply?

On the website and at Danish schools, you can find admission forms. Schools can provide forms or you can download them. Fill the form carefully. Incorrect or Incomplete Information in application form will not be consider. Or may be dues to this reason your application form will be rejected so be careful when you are filling your form.

Required Documents

Attested copies of the following documents should be deposited with the admissions form at the respective Danish schools:

  •  Photocopies of four passport-sized photographs

  •  Class 5th final result or Punjab Education Commission examination result

  •  I have a photocopy of my father’s identification card

  •  Form B for birth certificates

Shortlisting students

Call letters for the written test are issued after shortlisting students based on admission forms. They indicate:

  • A description of the test subject

  • The distribution of marks

  • Books that provide references

  • Location of the test conducted

  • Time taken to conduct the test

  • Attempting the paper requires the following items

  • With the call letter, you will find a slip with your roll number

    Written Test

In order to attempt a written examination, you must follow the following guidelines:

  • The Academic Wing at Head Office will administer tests

  • English, Urdu, Math, Science, and IQ will be tested

  • Separate sections for each subject will be included in one paper

  • An English section carries 35 marks, a general science section 15 marks, a mathematics section 20 marks, an Urdu section 10 marks, and an IQ section 20 marks.

  • It is possible to take the General Science and Mathematics Sections in either English or Urdu

  • The data of only successful candidates will be sent to the Head Office, which will select the list for antecedent verification based on merit
