The authority has announced COMSATS Labor Quota Admission and Scholarship 2024. The authority has released notification for the admission of eligible candidates to different academic programs. Benefits of Comsats Scholarship 2024 

The students who will be selected for the scholarship will get a full tuition fee waiver and a monthly stipend. The selection process will be based on the student’s financial need, academic performance, and potential.COMSATS has reserved a 30% quota in all the single-degree programs for workers and/or their children.

Last Date

The application deadline for COMSATS worker welfare fund scholarships is December 29, 2024. Islamabad and Lahore campuses offer Labour Quota seats on scholarships.

Punjab’s Labour Department is responsible for paying all expenses for PWWB Quota students.

Eligibility Criteria For COMSATS Scholarship

There are several criteria that must be met by the worker:

  1. According to the Industrial Relations Act, 2010, a labor department worker must meet the definition of a worker.

  2. A valid social security card is required for the worker.

  3. The worker must have worked for at least one year in a factory registered under the Factories Act 1934 or the Mines Act 1923.

  4. If an organization meets the definition of a factory in the Workers’ Welfare Fund Ordinance 1971 or the Companies’ Profit and Workers Participation Act 1968, it will be considered a factory.

  5. Children of deceased/disabled workers are also eligible to apply for this scholarship provided the worker/miner died/was disabled deserving. The worker was, registered under EOBI/ Social Security, or the widow/legal heir received a Death Grant or a pension from the Punjab Workers’ Welfare Board.

  6. Workers/miners seeking admission should not have been involved in any illegal activity or criminal proceedings.

Scholarship Award for PWWB COMSATS 2024

At the time of admission to all Single Degree Programs, candidates apply for this scholarship. Candidates must submit the following documents with their admission application form:

  1. CNIC of a worker or miner.

  2. An individual’s Social Security card or Old Age Benefit Card if they are a worker or a miner.

  3. Factory Card/ Employee Card of a worker/ miner indicating his/ her position.

  4. Appointment letter for workers/miners.

  5. The Factory Registration Certificate under the Factories Act 1934 or Mines Act 1923.

  6. CNIC/Family Registration Certificate of the prospective student issued by NADRA.

  7. A certificate certifying the worker’s service and his/her high moral conduct.

  8. An affidavit costs Rs. 20 must be signed by the candidate. He/she must submit a stamped paper stating that if they discontinue their education, they will reimburse the Labor Department for all educational expenses.

  9. It is necessary to show proof of receiving a Death Grant/ Disability Pension for a deceased/ disabled worker/ miner.

The continuation of the scholarship

Scholarships are provided for a maximum of 8 semesters or the maximum duration of the student’s degree program. According to CIIT rules and regulations, a student who repeats a course or semester is required to pay the dues.
