The Punjab Education Endowment Fund (PEEF) has announced the Chief Minister Merit Scholarship (CMMS) for the year 2024. This scholarship is fully funded and is available for PhD studies in the top 50 QS Ranked (Subject wise) universities worldwide. The scholarship is open to students in various subject areas. The deadline to apply for the PEEF CMMS scholarship is April 26, 2024.

To apply, you can download the application form from the PEEF website. While students with Punjab domicile will be given preference, there is also a special quota allocated for students from other provinces, including AJK, Gilgit Baltistan (GB), FATA, and Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT). Pakistani citizens who have applied to the world’s top 50 QS-ranked universities are eligible to apply for the Chief Minister Merit Scholarship 2024.

What is the CM Merit Scholarship?

Who can apply for the CM Merit Scholarship?

The CM Merit Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors who excel in both academics and community service. The scholarship is open to students in Vermont who are residents of the state and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must also demonstrate excellent leadership skills and an affinity for service.

Conditions of Eligibility for the CM Merit Scholarship

  • Applicants must be Pakistani Nationals who have secured admission in the Top 50 QS Ranked (subject-wise) Universities of the world.

  • Social Sciences/Arts & Humanities

  • Students applying for CMMS should have:
  • Valid PhD admission offer from a Top 50 QS Ranked (subject-wise) University of the world in the preferred subject areas mentioned above.
  • Not less than 60% marks throughout the academic career.
  • Declared monthly family income (including self, spouse and parents) is equal to or less than Rs. 200,000 (Two hundred thousand rupees).
  • Maximum age of 35 years on 26th April 2024.
  • Not availed of any foreign scholarship in the past.

What is the Chief Minister Merit Scholarship?

The Chief Minister Merit Scholarship is a scholarship awarded to students who have demonstrated academic excellence and leadership in their community. The scholarship was created in honour of New Jersey’s first female chief executive, Christine Todd Whitman.

Subject Areas for PEEF CMMS

The Punjab Education Foundation (PEEF) has announced the Chief Minister Merit Scholarship for students pursuing higher education in Punjab. Eligible candidates will receive a scholarship of Rs. 20,000 per annum for a period of two years.

This scholarship is in addition to other financial assistance provided by PEEF, such as the Mid-Day Meal Scheme and the Student Financial Assistance Scheme. It is aimed at encouraging students from lower socio-economic backgrounds to pursue higher education.

Important Information

  • The selected candidates cannot defer the scholarship offer to the next year.
  • Permanent/regular faculty members of public sector teaching/educational institutions of Pakistan are not eligible to apply for this program.
  • Preference will be given to the students having Punjab domicile, however, PEEF has also reserved a special quota for other provinces including AJK, Gilgit Baltistan (GB) and Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).
  • To get admission to the University and apply for a Visa is the responsibility of the applicant.
  • The decision of the CMMS Selection Committee shall be final.
  • PEEF reserves the right to reject any application or call off the whole selection process without assigning any reason.
