Government College, Lahore began its journey on January 1, 1864, with a class consisting of nine students. It was twelve years later with 115 pupils, a staff of able scholars, painstaking tutors, and prescient educationists having a vibrant vision for the future, that GC was shifted to its present location in Anarkali.
