5th and 8th class annual board exams are expected in the month of February 2024. Date sheet will be announced soon. 6 different versions of the questions papers of all subjects, covering the whole of the curriculum will be prepared for 5th and 8th class exams 2024. PEC will conduct the grade 5 and 8 exams on the basis of Student Learning Outcomes, as reflected in the National Curriculum.

Heads of CTSCs (Cluster Training & Support Centers) will be handling the registration of candidates. Issuance of roll number slips, organization of exams, paper checking and compiling of results will also be handled by CTSCs. EDO education will supervise all the operations of CTSCs. Candidates of 5th grade must be at least 8 years old while candidates of grade 8 must be at least 11 years old. Forms must be filled in upper case letters.

All the documents will be checked and verified by CTSCs. Registration forms will be submitted to CTSCs. The registration forms will be available. These forms will be provided free to all students and schools. Forms can also be downloaded through the internet. 5th and 8th classes PEC exams are compulsory for government schools and optional for private schools.

Individual private candidates can also appear in the 5th or 8th class exam under PEC. The documents required include; attested copy of computerized NIC of guardian, two recent colored photographs of the applicant, attested copy of B.form. The subjects included are Science, Mathematics, English, Urdu, and Islamic studies.
