Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Program. Under this program, 50,000 Unemployed Youth(belonging from lower and middle-class families) will be provided Skill Development Training in demand-driven trades. The duration of Program is 3 to 6 months. The selected trainees will be given a monthly stipend of Rs. 3,000/- (Rs. 4,000 for FATA Trainees).
In few trades, free Tool-Kits will also be provided. The training will be provided in 340 public & private sector Technical & Vocational Training Institutes, across the country.

Eligibility Criteria
All young men aged up to 35 years with middle-level education shall be eligible.
Madaaras students and students with disabilities are also encouraged to apply.
This framework identifies three types of challenges that the Skills Development Sector Plan seeks to address:
- Providing demand-relevant, good quality skills training opportunities.
- Implementing and mainstreaming measures that lower the cost of accessing these skills training opportunities.
- Maximizing the return to skills training opportunities through complementary interventions that strengthen linkages of trainees with jobs and markets.
